Prior to founding Seven Oaks Productions, Mr. Chodos
spent a year with KPMG Consulting as a primary part of the
Exante Group, a web technology team representing the KPMG
Consulting Boston office. He worked first-hand on
multi-million dollar accounts such as Microsoft, AIG, Morgan
Stanley and American Express, managing a team of engineers.
Leigh specialized in internet, intranet and extranet
application design and web development, implementing rapid
prototypes for B2B/B2E applications in a team-based
environment. "Some of the best design ideas have come to
me in the middle of the night, so I keep a pad and pen handy
and wake up in the morning with fresh ideas for the day,"
says Chodos. "I have found interface design to be an
organic process that stems from our most basic human needs.
It's crucial for the users experience to follow the results
that this organic process can bring." In the early
90's, Leigh wrote, produced and directed a documentary
called “In The Eyes Of America: The Holocaust”, a film based
on his family’s experience in the Holocaust and the
influence it had on them. It won him the first-place
award for "Best Documentary" in the 1994 Lillian Butler
Davey Communication Award ceremony and the 1996 Aldrich
Museum Richard Mincer Award.
Leigh went on to work with the major television network, NBC,
working in the Broadcast Creative Services department in the
Rockefeller Center New York City headquarters of NBC, collaborating
with shows such as Dateline, Conan O'Brien, NBC Sports, NBC
News, and The Today Show.
In 1997 Leigh worked with MicroWarehouse Inc. (recently
purchased by the CDW Corporation) on the first auction website
in Internet history. He designed front page graphics and marketing
material for the site, webauction.com, which is now known as Ebay.
He
has been a contributing faculty member of his alma mater
since 2001. His course covers design, production and
consulting in the field of communications once a week with
demanding assignments made to mirror the field. |
